August is National Breastfeeding Month, a time dedicated to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding. National Breastfeeding Month highlights importance of breastfeeding for optimal infant health and development while also promoting the significant health advantages for mothers.  

New mothers can speak with their labor and delivery team, their child’s pediatrician, or with our WIC breastfeeding team to get advice, encouragement and the know-how they need to make their breastfeeding experience a successful and rewarding one.
