Breastfeeding Program / Lactancia

WIC values and supports breastfeeding as the normal way to feed a baby. We have an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant on staff. Education and support by one of our Breastfeed Peer Counselors is available at all our health centers.

Our breastfeeding services include:

• English and Spanish Breastfeeding Classes
• Breast Pumps:
  • WIC offers a breast pump program to assist qualifying mothers in meeting their breastfeeding goals. Need a Breast Pump? ¿Necesita un Extractor de Leche?
• In office Breastfeeding help and latch assistance 
• Breastfeeding Line- at 727-824-6997 - 9am-9pm. 7 days a week.
  
  • If you are a WIC client Breastfeeding and having trouble latching or having pain, call us and we can help.
  • Please Call the WIC Breastfeeding Team and we can help you over the phone or in person!
