HIV/AIDS Patient Care

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County has been the Lead Agency for HIV/AIDS Services since 2012. This means DOH contracts community-based organizations to provide care and services for clients with HIV and AIDS in Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties. The Lead Agency funds over eight organizations to provide Ryan white core and support services. These services include but are not limited to eligibility services (non-medical case management), medical case management, HIV medical visits and associated labs (outpatient ambulatory health services), medical nutrition, mental health services, AIDS pharmaceutical (medication) assistance, emergency financial assistance, and more.
