Pinellas-DOH National Recovery Month
August 30, 2024

National Recovery Month
National Recovery Month, observed every September, is a time to recognize the strength and dedication of the recovery community and the importance of effective treatment. This month showcases the importance of eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction and promotes all available resources to those along their recovery journey.
Recovery is possible for everyone. By sharing lived experience and fostering open discussions with family, friends and peers, the observance offers hope to individuals seeking their own recovery story. National Recovery Month reminds us that recovery is real, and that together we can build a healthier, more compassionate society.
