By Maggie Hall, PIO

June 02, 2021

Students ages 12 and up can get their Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines at three area high schools in June and July.

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) is offering the two-dose vaccine to students accompanied by a parent or guardian. Vaccines will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only at the sites listed below. To make an appointment, call DOH-Pinellas at (727) 824-6931.

COVID-19 vaccines are always provided at no cost.

The first vaccination date at each school is for first doses and the second for second doses of the Pfizer vaccine that is administered 21 days apart. These are the dates and locations:

June 22 and July 13 at Largo High School, 410 Missouri Ave., Largo
June 23 and July 14 at Gibbs High School, 850 34th St. S., St. Petersburg
June 24 and July 15, Pinellas Park High School, 6305 118th Ave. N., Largo

The three high schools are among the five that have clinics staffed by DOH-Pinellas and funded by the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County. (The other two clinic locations are at Northeast and Boca Ciega High Schools.) The vaccination events are also supported by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
