Helping First Time Parents Succeed©
The Nurse-Family Partnership is a home visiting-based program intended to promote well-being of first-time, low-income mothers and their children. Nurses provide parenting education, referrals to community resources, and promote family enrichment beginning in pregnancy prior to 28 weeks gestation through the child’s second birthday.
Goals for the program include improving pregnancy outcomes, child health and development and family economic self-sufficiency.
Visits are made every 1-2 weeks until baby’s second birthday. Flexible home visiting as needed. This is an evidenced-based home visiting program funded by the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County.
