DOH-PINELLAS AGAIN OFFERS COVID-19 VACCINATIONS BY APPOINTMENT

By Maggie Hall, PIO

May 10, 2021

To make COVID-19 vaccinations more accessible to all Pinellas residents, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) is offering an opportunity to get no-cost vaccines by appointment at its three largest centers.

During the week of May 17, the St. Petersburg, Mid-County and Clearwater centers will begin offering COVID-19 vaccines on a rotating schedule.

Appointments are available at St. Petersburg and Clearwater on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Mid-County appointments will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling (727) 824-6931.

After the DOH-Pinellas center in Pinellas Park reopens during the week of May 24, appointments will be available there, too.

DOH-Pinellas offers the two-dose Pfizer vaccine to those 16 years of age and older. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent for their vaccinations.
