Think of it as a holiday present you can unwrap now: flu shots at no cost to make your season merry, bright and influenza-free.
The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) is marking National Influenza Vaccination Week, Dec. 3-9, with a day of flu vaccines at no cost on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at its five centers.
Come to any of these DOH-Pinellas centers from 8 AM to 4 PM for a flu shot at no cost to you:

• St. Petersburg: 205 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.

• Pinellas Park: 6350 76th Ave N.

• Mid-County (Largo): 8751 Ulmerton Rd.

• Clearwater: 310 N. Myrtle Ave.

• Tarpon Springs: 301 S. Disston Ave.

An annual flu vaccine and prevention efforts such as washing your hands frequently and sneezing into your elbow instead of your hands are the best ways to avoid getting sick. For information about influenza and how to protect yourself, go to www.cdc.gov/fightflu.
