By Maggie Hall, PIO - Contact Number: 727-824-6908

January 19, 2017

give kids a smile! ADA FoundationDental exams, X-rays, cleanings and any needed services such as fillings will be offered to children and teens through the age of 18 during the annual Give Kids a Smile! event at the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) center in Pinellas Park, 6350 76th Ave. N., on Saturday, Feb. 4. The clinic opens at 8 a.m.

The event provides eligible children and teens with services at no cost. In the past, events were usually held during weekdays when it was more difficult for working parents to accompany their children.

This year’s event on a Saturday will provide access to more working parents who cannot afford dental care for their children.

Parents of children and teens between the ages of 4 and 18 will not be required to sign up in advance; no appointments will be made before the event. Families will be served on a first-come basis. Parents or guardians must be present to authorize services. Registrations will continue until all appointment slots are filled.
