By Maggie Hall, PIO - Contact Number: 727-824-6908

September 28, 2016

To better inform residents about food safety alerts such as product recalls, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOHPinellas) has added a widget to its website that features the latest information on foods that may be harmful to the public’s health.

The widget is at https://pinellas.floridahealth.gov/programs-andservices/wellness-programs/index.html.

The FoodSafety.gov widget updates information automatically and allows users to click on items for more information. This site collates information from state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration about product recalls and investigations.
