By Maggie Hall, PIO - Contact Number: 727-824-6908

September 13, 2016

Fall is almost here and it's time to start thinking about seasonal flu vaccines.

DOH-Pinellas is once again planning an after-hours Flu Boo clinic with shots at no cost on Oct. 26. The clinic will be held at the Pinellas Park health department located at 6350 76th Ave. N. More details will be shared at a later date.

To raise awareness of the Flu Boo clinic and the importance of flu vaccinations, DOH-Pinellas staff will be canvassing the neighborhoods north of its clinic location on Thursday, Sept. 15. Staff will meet at the health department's parking lot at 2 PM and set off in teams to visit homes.

Teams will distribute Flu Boo clinic event flyers, survey residents about their knowledge of important health information and offer free insect repellent.
