DENTAL SERVICES AT NO COST DURING “GIVE KIDS A SMILE!” ON FEB. 27

ADA FoundationDOH-Pinellas

Dental exams, X-rays, cleanings and any needed services such as fillings will be offered to children and teens through the age of 18 during the annual Give Kids a Smile! event at three Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) locations on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The event brings DOH-Pinellas dentists and staff together with volunteer dentists and other dental professionals to provide eligible children and teens with services at no cost. In the past, events were usually held during weekdays when it was more difficult for working parents to accompany their children.

This year’s event on a Saturday will provide access to more working parents who cannot afford dental care for their children.

Parents of children and teens between the ages of 4 and 18 will not be required to sign up in advance and no appointments will be made before the event. Families will be served on a first-come basis at the three locations; parents or guardians must be present to authorize services. Registrations will continue until all appointment slots are filled.

These three DOH-Pinellas clinics will open at 8 AM on Feb. 27:

  • St. Petersburg: 205 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.
  • Mid-County: 8751 Ulmerton Rd., Largo.
  • Clearwater: 310 N. Myrtle Ave.

Give Kids a Smile! is made possible by DOH-Pinellas, the Pinellas County Dental Association and the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association. For information about DOH-Pinellas, go to www.PinellasHealth.com or call (727) 824-6900.
