Largo’s Central Park Market Offers Fresh Produce and More

Saturday, July 18, is the next market day

The Largo Central Park Market (formerly called Largo Sunset Market) is now offering fresh foods two Saturdays a month from 9 AM to 1 PM. With many farmers markets closed for the summer, the market continues to offer produce, eggs, breads, local honey and other products. The next market day is Saturday, July 18. (The market is open at that location on the first and third Saturdays of the month.)

The market is located at Largo Central Park, 101 3rd St. SE., next to the Largo Cultural Center. (East Bay Dr. and Central Park Dr. are the nearest intersection.) The Largo market accepts SNAP/EBT benefits to provide healthy food choices to families looking to stretch their food dollars.

For additional market information or to become a vendor, contact Jennifer McCafferty owner of Jen's Market, Inc., at (813) 846-1316 or Jennifer@jens-market.com. Jen's Market Inc., is a woman-owned small business with a mission to help other businesses grow and flourish.

SNAP/EBT at the Largo Central Park Market was assisted by the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County's Partnerships to Improve Community Health (PICH) grant to increase the access of healthier foods and increase safe physical activity. The initiative is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Access to healthy foods is supported by Healthiest Weight Florida, the Florida Surgeon General's initiative to make the healthy choice the easy choice for Floridians. For information about Healthiest Weight Florida, go to www.healthiestweightflorida.com.
