By Maggie Hall, PIO

January 19, 2021

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) and Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 955 20th St. S., St. Petersburg, partnered with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and the Florida Department of Health to provide 534 vaccines to the church’s congregation on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Governor Ron DeSantis has encouraged partnering with churches in an effort to increase the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine to senior citizens in Florida and target underserved communities.

DOH-Pinellas continues to fight to protect health and safety as the rollout of COVID-19 vaccine continues. Follow us on social media for updates or visit www.PinellasHealth.com.
