Each year, doctors in the United States diagnose more than 13,000 cases of cervical cancer in women. Congress designated January as Cervical Cancer Awareness Month to bring attention to this important health issue.
Special Medical Needs Program
The program provides transportation and sheltering for Pinellas County residents who have mental or physical limitations or disabilities and have no other option but to request assistance for evacuation planning in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane.
